The Retard Intelligence Agency (RIA) is an "invite only" group based in Fort Ann, New York, known for its humor, strong presence in town and school, and its members. The group's name, RIA, also doubles as the initials of the three core members: Ronin, Izayah, and Alex. Founded in December 2024 by Ronin Tanner and Izayah Jones, the group has built a reputation among peers through its tight brotherhood and the creation of lifelong memories.
With an emphasis on secrecy, loyalty, and going on as many adventures as possible, the RIA remains a close-knit crew focused on making the most out of their time on Earth. The group has also expanded its reach through the RIA Youth Program, aimed at introducing younger members to the group's culture and activities."
The origins of the group trace back to December 6, 2024, when Ronin Tanner and Izayah Jones began working on a project known as the Sexton Files.

On February 27, 2026, the RIA launched the RIA Youth Program, aimed at kids aged 11-13. This program serves as an introductory community for younger members to engage in group activities, gaming, and projects under the guidance of RIA members.
Together, these members maintain the group’s culture:

Hunter Simonson – May 5, 2026 - May 29, 2026 (rejoined June 8, 2026 - Present)
The group became known among peers for their humor, behavior, and posting prank videos on YouTube, though all of these videos were later deleted following an incident involving Connor Havens.
The first YouTube video, published on January 17, 2026, was a vlog/prank titled "GIVING PEOPLE MONEY BUT ITS COVERED WITH NUT *prank*", which ran for 18 minutes and 38 seconds and amassed over 630 views before deletion. A week later, the second video, "GUY MAKES THE BEST YOUTUBE VIDEO OAT (WHAT HAPPENS NEXT IS SHOCKING)", was published. In both videos, RIA members conducted what they considered harmless but controversial pranks at Aviation Mall, which were seen as entertaining by the group but considered vandalism or disruptive by others.
In early 2026, a phone conversation between Izayah Jones and Connor Havens inadvertently escalated into a significant rift within the group's social circle. While Izayah was on a Discord call with Alex Perras on his computer, Connor called Izayah on his phone. During the conversation, Connor revealed his middle name, unaware that Alex was listening in on the line.
The following day at school, students repeatedly referenced Connor's middle name. Izayah initially dismissed it as a strange coincidence. Later that day, Connor texted Izayah messages to the effect of "what's wrong with you" and "I thought we were friends." Izayah then concluded that Alex Perras had shared the middle name with others.
Connor reacted strongly, entering what group members described as a "fit of autistic rage." He cut off all contact with Izayah and informed his mother about the RIA's YouTube videos, attributing them primarily to Izayah despite the collaborative nature of the group. Connor texted Izayah claiming "my mom found your videos." Izayah responded skeptically, noting that the channel's low subscriber count made algorithmic discovery unlikely and suspecting Connor had directed his mother to the content as retaliation.
Connor's mother subsequently forwarded the videos to Izayah's mother. As a result, Izayah was grounded for approximately two weeks. During this period, Connor posted embarrassing photographs of Izayah online.
In response, Izayah posted a photo of Connor with his shirt off and spit in his mouth. The image was widely perceived by viewers as showing semen, leading to significant embarrassment for Connor. Roughly three weeks to a month after the initial conflict, an anonymous TikTok account under the handle @Connorlovesseamen was created. The account contained only one video: the aforementioned photograph of Connor. The account and video further amplified the incident within their peer group.
The entire affair led to the permanent deletion of the RIA's YouTube videos and marked a notable shift in the group's public activities and internal dynamics. It remains a frequently referenced event in the group's lore, often cited in discussions of their early reputation for chaotic humor and interpersonal drama.
Membership in the group is invite-only. When a potential new member is suggested, current members hold a vote. All existing members must unanimously agree before a new person can join the group.
One member from the original 3 has been accepted to join the RIA.
The group does not maintain a formal list of rules. However, members generally follow one important guideline:
No leaking information outside the group.
Another controversy associated with the group involved a study hall phone ban at their high school. According to accounts from members, the situation began when Ronin Tanner confronted a classmate, Michael Sexton, during study hall regarding his actions in a prior situation. The confrontation reportedly lasted about five minutes.
During the incident, Izayah Jones recorded the interaction. It was also reported that another student in the room, Timothy Webb III (a senior), recorded the event as well.
After the confrontation, Izayah sent the video to the RIA Discord server, which at the time included Ronin Tanner and Alex Perras. The video was then reportedly shared further beyond the original server.
Following the spread of the recording, Ronin Tanner and Alex Perras were called to the school office at separate times, though the exact timing of these meetings has not been confirmed.
Izayah later reported that the principal had been informed by another student that the video might be posted online. During the following school week (approximately 3–4 days later), the high school principal reportedly believed that the video had been posted publicly, although members of the group stated that it had not.
As a result, students in study hall were no longer allowed to use their phones. Some students attributed the new rule to the events surrounding the recording, and the RIA was blamed by some peers for the policy change.
The group also faced backlash over the creation of a "Classmate IQ Rank Chart," in which the three RIA members ranked classmates based on how intelligent they believed they were. The chart circulated among students and became widely discussed.
The ranking system used several tiers. In the chart's format, lower tiers indicated higher intelligence, while higher tiers were the opposite. The tiers included (in order):
TRUE RETARD
DUMBASS
DUMBASS LITE
HIGH TIER DIMWIT
MID TIER DIMWIT
LOW TIER DIMWIT
SUB 5
The chart was intended humorously by its creators but received criticism from some classmates who viewed it as disrespectful.
The Fort is the, hopefully, soon to be headquarters and restoration project of the Retard Intelligence Agency (RIA). Located on the edge of the woods of Fort Ann, New York, the site consists of an old abandoned cement sniper tower believed to date back to the Battle of Fort Ann during the Saratoga Campaign of the American Revolutionary War.
The structure is a weathered concrete fortification that had remained largely untouched for decades prior to RIA involvement. It serves as the group’s physical base for operations, adventures, and future projects. The RIA began some restoration work on the fort in early 2026.
The cement sniper tower is believed to have been used during the Battle of Fort Ann (July 8, 1777) as part of the larger Saratoga Campaign. The site had seen almost no human activity or maintenance in modern times until the RIA discovered it.
Restoration Timeline:
December 2024: Izayah Jones discovered the fort and performed initial solo exploration and minor work.
May 2026: The full RIA crew (excluding Alex Perras) along with Liam Crandall of DDoCF conducted their first group visit to the fort. The team began minor cleanup operations, removing moss, dirt, and mud buildup from the tower structure. During the same visit, the group gathered a large stick pile to be used for future construction of walls, support beams, and flooring. Furthermore Izayah Jones sent a formal email to the NYSDEC Region 5 Permit Administrator requesting a Temporary Revocable Permit (TRP) to legally construct and operate a small 20x30 ft temporary clubhouse on the state land behind his residence, adjacent to the fort area.
The Legalization of the RIA Headquarters, is a current formal effort by the Retard Intelligence Agency to obtain official permission from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) to construct and operate a temporary clubhouse on state land.
On May 9th 2026, Izayah Jones took the lead in submitting a formal inquiry and Temporary Revocable Permit (TRP) application to the NYSDEC Region 5 office. The goal was to legalize the construction of a small 20×30 ft clubhouse on a parcel of state-owned land in Fort Ann, New York.
This marked the first (of many to come) major official interaction between the RIA and a government agency. The effort demonstrates the group’s commitment to operating responsibly while maintaining their core values of secrecy, loyalty, and adventures.
Successful approval of the permit would allow the RIA to establish a legal, semi-permanent headquarters in addition to the ongoing restoration of the fort.
The fort is currently a work-in-progress restoration project. The RIA plans to transform the historic sniper tower and surrounding area into a functional headquarters while preserving its historical character. Materials gathered on-site (sticks/logs) will be used for structural reinforcements and interior work.
The Fort represents the transition of the RIA from a purely online/social group to one with a dedicated physical headquarters. It embodies the group’s core values of secrecy, loyalty, brotherhood, and adventures.
